Install Zentriq Agent

In-BC AI chatFree~3 minutes, self-serve

Free and self-serve

Get started free in seconds with your Microsoft work account, no waitlist, no approval step. Sign in, accept the EULA, and install the Agent into your Business Central yourself. Looking for PunchOut instead? See Install PunchOut.

Before you start

  • A Microsoft 365 account (same one you use for Business Central)
  • A Business Central environment on version 22 or later (Cloud, Sandbox or Production)
  • The person doing the install must be a Global Admin or Dynamics 365 Business Central Administrator on the tenant, BC's admin API requires it to deploy extensions.
  • A free Zentriq account, just sign in with Microsoft (created on the spot)
1

Sign in to Zentriq

Go to app.zentriqsoftware.com and click Continue with Microsoft with your work account. The same button signs you in and creates your account the first time, no password, no waitlist.

First person from your organisation? If your IT restricts third-party apps, you may see a “Needs admin approval” prompt. Your Microsoft admin approves Zentriq once for the whole company (30 seconds), then everyone signs in freely, see support@zentriqsoftware.com if you need a hand.
2

Click Install, we do the rest

On the Installations page, accept the EULA, pick your BC environment (start with a Sandbox), and hit Install Zentriq Agent. That's the magic part: we deploy the signed extension straight into your tenant via the BC admin API, no download, no upload, in 1–3 minutes, with live progress on screen. The .app never leaves the install transaction.

3

Switch it on inside BC

Two quick one-time things in Business Central:

  • Give your team access: in BC, search Zentriq User Access and click Grant access to all users — one click, done. A BC admin does this once.
  • Connect the chat: open Zentriq Agent in BC (search → Alt+Q) and click Accept on the one-time Microsoft prompt, access is scoped to what your BC role already allows. A BC admin can grant this once for the whole team.
Prefer the manual route? Assign the Zentriq - Full Access permission set per user (Users → User Permission Sets) or to a Microsoft Entra security group. Every Business Central app needs this step — Microsoft never grants app permissions automatically.

Ask away

Open Zentriq Agent in BC and try:

  • List open purchase orders from vendor 40000
  • Create a sales invoice for customer 10000 with 2Ă— item 1936-S
  • What did we spend with vendor 40000 last quarter?
Your dashboard's Getting Started checklist ticks the last step ✓ the moment it sees your first message, your “fully wired up” signal.
Troubleshooting
“You don't have BC Administrator role on this tenant”
The admin API needs either the Global Admin or Dynamics 365 Business Central Administrator role on the tenant. If you don't have it, invite your IT lead to Zentriq under Organization, then have them sign in here and run the install themselves.
The install spinner runs past 15 minutes
Open BC → Extension Installation Status page for the underlying deployment record (usually a transient platform issue at Microsoft's end). Click Try again on the dashboard once it clears, or email support@zentriqsoftware.com with the env name and timestamp.
The Agent page is not visible in BC
  • Hard-refresh the BC page (Ctrl+F5), BC caches its page layouts and sometimes hides newly-deployed pages until you reload.
  • Confirm the extension shows Installed on the dashboard's Agent page (it polls BC for live state).
  • Confirm your BC user has the Zentriq - Full Access permission set assigned (see step 3).
OAuth popup fails: “Admin consent required”
Your Entra ID admin restricts third-party app access. Either:
  • Ask your admin to grant tenant-wide consent to the Zentriq Agent app (one-time, takes 30 seconds).
  • Or have the admin temporarily allow user-level consent in Entra ID settings.
I see “No active organization subscription”
You're on the free plan but your org has been downgraded (expired card, cancelled plan, etc.). Go to your dashboard, click Manage subscription, and reactivate. Chat activity resumes instantly.
“Sorry, the current permissions prevented the action”
The user opened a Zentriq page without the permission set. Fix it in one click: in BC, search Zentriq User Access → Grant access to all users (or just that user) — it assigns Zentriq - Full Access. You can also do it by hand via Users → User Permission Sets, or for a whole security group. Note: the user also needs a Business Central licence — an unlicensed user can't open BC pages even with the permission set.
What about PunchOut?

PunchOut is the separate, generally-available product, install it here. It is independent of Agent: different Chrome extension, different BC .app, a per-organization capture subscription instead of a per-seat one. The two coexist with no conflict in the same BC environment.
